A year in beauty: Favorite products of 2012!
Hey everyone, Happy New Year! This is going to be some of my favorite products from 2012. A combination of things that were released this past year and some other products that I just discovered and loved this year.

Face products:
The foundation released this year and has been getting rave reviews! I currently wear this foundation just about every day and it is incredible. This is the first Urban Decay foundation to hit so well, so good work UD. It provides a solid medium coverage but is totally buildable, with a very natural finish, and feels weightless on your skin.
Retails for 38.00 at Sephora
Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer
Yet another great product released this year! This is absolutely the best drugstore concealer I've tried and easily rivals many high end brightening concealers. Perfect for under the eyes it catches light giving a beautiful natural glow. Not to mention for the price, it's unbeatable! Retails for $6.44 at most drug stores

Ferro Cosmetics Ultimate Mineral Foundation, matte finish
I believe i've mentioned this product in a past post, but I can not say enough positive things about this powder. This can be used on it's own or over a liquid foundation, without getting cakey, and thick looking. It provides a crazy amount of coverage but feels like nothing! I really recommend checking out Ferro Cosmetics if you haven't yet, because they have some killer mineral products.
Retails for $30.00 from Ferro
MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft And Gentle
Now this one has been around for a while but I personally started using it this year and it has replaced just about all of my other highlighters.
It looks a little frighteningly shimmery in the pan or swatched but when placed on the tops of the cheek bones it just gives a great glow. You really only need to use a touch of it so the product should last quite a while. Retails for $29.00 at MAC
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush
in Doll Face
Tarte has really gained a lot of attention this year
and this has been one of their most successful products. These really do hold up on the lasting power, and have a great shade range. This specific shade is a matte light pink. It is insanely pigmented and looks beautiful on all skin tones.
Retails for $25.00 at Sephora
Sigma Sigmax Synthetic Kabuki Kit
A new collection of brushes released from Sigma. These synthetic face brushes work wonderfully with cream or liquid products. The set contains the F80, F82, F84, and the F86.
Set retails for $62.00 or $18.00 per brush from Sigma
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
This stuff literally changed my makeup life. Seriously.
I do 3-4 sprays before and after I apply my makeup and it makes it last all day.
I have a terrible problem with my eyeliner running and this keeps it totally in place. UD collaborated with Skindinavia on this, who is already known for making great setting sprays. Definitely a must have!
Retails for $29.00 at Sephora
The Balm Nude Tude Palette
One of the first products from The Balm I had tried and I was instantly hooked! The shadows have fantastic pigmentation, and the selection of colors is great. My most used in the palette are definitely "Selfish", "Sassy", and "Sleek".
Retails for $36.00 from The Balm
L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow
I'm usually one to gravitate towards palettes for eyeshadows, but I have found myself using these individual shadows like crazy! Specifically in the shade Iced Latte, which is a light shimmering golden champagne, perfect for all over the lid. For a little more drama I also love Smoldering Plum, which is a deep plum color.
Retails for $6.99 at most drug stores
Lorac 3D liquid lustre.
The lustre drops are described as a shimmering eye makeup top coat.
These just barely made it into the 2012 favorites as I only got them last month but they are incredible, and needed to be in this!
Available in two colors "Diamond", and "Gold". I absolutely love both colors and it's really the perfect touch to add a bit of glam to any eye look. I also love how unique the dropper applicator is, definitely something I had never seen before.
Retails for $16.00 at Sephora
MAC Black Track Fluidline
The MAC fluidlines are pretty much a cult favorite in the beauty community, especially they're standard black "Black Track".
It's a great long lasting, incredibly black gel liner, that everyone needs in their collection.
Retails for $15.00 at MAC
Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy
Last but certainly not least of this years favorites is my favorite scent! I've found myself reaching for this just about every day, it's a really widely appealing scent that from what I've seen most people love, and since I can't describe scents AT ALL here are the notes in the fragrance.
Mandarin & Wild Berries; mid notes of Honeysuckle, Jasmine & Gardenia; finish of Amber, Carmel Woods, Vanilla, Sandalwood & Praline.
Retail price varies by size, available at Sephora
Thanks for reading everyone, I hope your holidays were fantastic and you have an incredible new year! <3

LIPS:
Stila long wear liquid lip colors
I picked up some of these for the first time at IMATS 2012 (which I have a full post on that you can see here) where I believe they were being launched. I have the colors "Fiery", and "Muse". Fiery is a beautiful true bright red, and Muse is more of a mauve darker pink shade. The formula on these are fantastic, they go on incredibly smoothly, dry to a matte finish, and last all day.
Too Faced Perfect Lip Liner
The name says it all, this is the perfect lip liner.
It's one of those "Your lips but better colors" in a great pinky nude. It can be worn under just about any lipstick and prevents feathering or bleeding of the lipstick, also gorgeous on it's own!
Other beauty products:
DO Naturals Just Berry Conditioner
I've been using this conditioner for the last few months and it's quickly become a favorite. It's completely natural, sulfate free, and has a list of all the ingredients and their purpose so you really know what you're putting in your hair, not to mention it smells incredible!
