BH Cosmetics 120 color palette first edition review

BH Cosmetics 120 Palette first edition review

The BH Cosmetics 120 color eyeshadow palette is a fantastically priced palette with a huge range of colors.  This contains everything from bright pinks and blues for bold colorful looks, to silvers and blacks for a nice smokey eye (examples of both below). The shadows have great color pay off and appear just as bright on the eyes as in the pan especially when used with a good primer. BH actually makes a great eye primer called their Eye and Lip primer which is what I used for the look below. Now as much as I would love to I can't exactly wear bright orange eyeshadow too often, therefor I just can not justify spending $15-$20 per shadow on colors that I won't find myself using on a daily basis, so this palette is PERFECT at $19.47 for 120 colors! There are currently 5 editions of this palette but I really like the lay out of the first edition and the range of colors. I find this a must have in my collection, the bright pinks I use like crazy for performances and such, so this is definitely always in my makeup case, not to mention any of these beautiful brights would make awesome bright liners for a pop of color!

These are two of the looks I created using the palette. The top was playing with some of the pink and purple colors, while on bottom I played it down a little bit with a more simple smokey eye.

Here are some more pictures of the palette itself, and some swatches of a few of the colors for reference.

Everything mentioned is available at  http://www.bhcosmetics.com/ as well as a ton of other awesome products!

NARS blush review- SIN

NARS blush review- SIN

Hey everyone! This is gonna be my review of the NARS blush in SIN. I have been trying to get my hands on this for over a month! Every time I went into Sephora they were sold out! Obviously it's popular. Anyways onto the review!

Let's start off by saying without a doubt this is my current favorite blush. I tried this on in Sephora and was hooked!
It is a gorgeous purple toned berry color with slight gold shimmer, but doesn't look too frosted on the cheeks at all. It seems a little scary in the pan, in the sense that it looks quite dark and purple, but it is AMAZING on. This is such a versatile color that I believe it could work on any skin tone. The NARS blushes as a whole are fantastic, wonderful color pay off, blends beautifully, wears for hours.
Unfortunately this is a bit pricey (as are most NARS products). You get 0.16 oz for $28.00.
In comparison, a MAC blush is 0.21 oz for $20.00. I do truly believe that it is worth the investment as it is a wonderful product and a better formulation than other, less expensive blushes. A decent inexpensive dupe for this would be the ELF Studio blush in Berry Merry (note that the pictures on the ELF website of their colors are awful and do not look like the actual colors at all -__-). It is not an exact dupe, Sin is a bit more of a plum-ish berry, while Berry Merry is a touch more pink, but at the low cost of $3.00 definitely worth a try. My over all rating will be below the photos.
